Guillerme et Chambron Brutalist Table "Petronile" in Carved Oak, France, 1960s

Robust dining table with two extensions, one on each side, providing extra space and seating. Beautifully carved oak tabletop resting on four tapered titled legs with conic carving at the bottom. Each pair of legs is aesthetically joined by a delicately carved wooden structure from which a V-shaped starts to end in the center of the table, accentuating the sculptural proportions. An ingenious system underneath the tabletop is reinforcing the structure and housing the two extra leaves. This table full of character offers expressive and sculptural functionalism.

About the designers:

Robert Guillerme studied architecture, however after WWII moved to Lille and continued designing furniture. Jacques Chambron knew Guillerme for years and moved in order to work together with him on furniture.
