This sculptural table lamp was designed in the 1970s Italy by a little-known company named Alfredo Bianchi. As a design piece, it represents as an organic mix of aesthetics and functionality.

This table lamp designed by Alfredo Bianchi is entrancing in its minimalistic and elemental shape. The geometrical lamp shape is formed from a single circular tube that is skillfully made of cast aluminium and finished with a black high gloss lacquer. On the end of the cylindrical tube is a socket that shines the light downward, thus, through its design, the lamp emits a soft, directional light. The black colour of the lamp balances the unique shape, by allowing the design to shine without overpowering it or visually disturbing the organic flow of the curves. Due to it’s well sized proportions the lamp is a bold statement which commands the attention in any room in which it is placed.
