Swedish Modern is a distinctive style that represents a design philosophy guided by functionality, simplicity and clean lines. The maker of this lounge chair not only had a preference for its main characteristics and materials, but a deep respect as well. The design of this chair is in favour of the user, maintaining the focus on the authentic simplicity, elegance, and cosiness associated with the Scandinavian style.

The chair exemplifies the elegance and craftsmanship characteristic of Scandinavian design during the 1940s. With a refined silhouette that balances simplicity with subtle sophistication, this chair stands as a testament to the era's commitment to functionality without compromising on aesthetic appeal. The open design is focused on the aesthetics of modernism, whilst employing the exquisite technique and material familiarity of highly skilled craftsmen. Condition:

In good vintage condition. Wear consistent with age and use. The chair has been reupholstered recently in a premium sheepskin. Each of our items can be re-upholstered by our in-house atelier in a fabric of choice. Please reach out for more information.
