A Pair of Mid-Century Modern Lounge Chairs, Europe 1950s (sold)

$0.00

This pair of mid-century lounge chairs is special for its unique pairing of materials and shape. Similarly, to Carlo Hauner and Martin Eisler’s designs, this pair is characterised by a geometric and architectonic reasoning and elegant minimalism.

The smooth and flowing lines of the wide seat and armrests give an “open” feel. The legs of thin tubular frames recall the models of Forma, the company of Hauner and Eisler. The tubular metal legs are composed of visually engaging geometric lines that contrast with the softness of the upholstery.

The chairs have been reupholstered in a premium wool and alpaca blend fabric that is of the highest quality. The individual shaft of alpaca fiber is measurably smoother than that of other natural fibers, making these chairs extremely soft and comfortable. The classic pairing of black and white makes this one-of-a-kind pair an elegant and stylish addition to any space. ~H.
