This set of eight model “7866” dining chairs reflect both the company’s ideals and the era's emphasis on clean lines, organic forms, and functionality.

Danish mid-century modern design is still celebrated for its minimalist yet functional approach, which values the use of natural materials and the marriage of form and function. Teak wood was particularly beloved by Danish designers for several reasons; its rich, golden hue, fine grain, and durability made it an ideal choice for furniture production. Moreover, teak's resistance to decay and pests ensured that pieces like these model 7866 chairs would remain in pristine condition for generations. There is something universally appealing about Danish furniture; its simplicity is often copied, but the vibe is difficult – if not impossible – to emulate.
