Among the plethora of talented individuals who have worked for Artifort, Theo Ruth was the acclaimed Dutch furniture manufacturer’s first permanent designer. Ruth’s work significantly advanced Artifort’s laudable reputation, specifically through his designs for chairs.

These lounge chairs are full of exceptional features and details that make them a unique example of the creative overflow that defined mid-century modernism in Europe. The flowing structures display beautifully curved lines and rounded edges ensuring extreme comfort and emphasizing the chairs’ ergonomic design. The graceful wooden curvature in the arms also contributes to their organic and understated aesthetic. The use of wood serves a practical purpose in the chairs' frames, ensuring longevity and resilience while embodying the natural elegance associated with mid-century modernism. The round edges of the body create a nice balance with the splayed wooden legs. ‎Condition:
