Characterized by symmetrical and geometric details, Art Deco lighting employs a variety of finishes to create a distinctive and futuristic effect. While Art Deco lighting was typical in commercial and municipal structures in its day, these impressive fixtures make great focal points for today’s homes of any style.

With its brass body and white opaline glass shade, this table lamp has an unmistakeable look that mixes artistic touches and materials to create an overall impression of elegant luxury. Although at the turn of the 20th century, the ornate style of Classical Revival lighting was at the height of popularity, lighting design underwent a transformation in aesthetic and style from the 1920s through the 1930s. Evolving design sensibilities and the rise of electric lights contributed to the streamlined yet whimsical style we now associate with Art Deco lighting. This model hails from this era that favoured a more streamlined look, bridging the movement with Modernism. The design unites two classic materials: brass and glass. Brass was favoured for several reasons, one being that it enhanced the curves and decorative elements of the design, as seen here as well. The brass neck has a pronounced curve can be adjusted in its height thanks to its connection system to the rod that can be loosened and tightened freely. The ridged rod ends in a spherical finial and stands on a traditional tiered brass base. The opaline shade has a classic empire shape that highlights the milky colour and the warm orange hue when the light is turned on.

Besides its innovative design, this table lamp is also perfect for task lighting, or as an accent piece on a table. Art Deco has been of the most anticipated interior design trends of 2023 thanks to qualities this model demonstrates: an elegant luxurious aesthetic, quality materials and impeccable craftsmanship.
