Upon hearing the expression “Swedish Modern”, many people conjure up images of sleek furniture made from natural materials. In reality, Swedish Modern isn’t far from this idea, however, it is not simply an exercise in nostalgia, it is this sofa: uncluttered, timeless elegance, with an impeccable quality of material and craftsmanship. In combination with the unadorned style of mid-century modern design, this sofa brings together some of the best elements of Art Deco and Modernism. Starting with its masterful pairing of round and sharper edges and the absence of arms, this three-seater sofa has an open design with a clear focus on its materials. The fully upholstered body is sectioned by the fabric lines to highlight the structure and its versatile angles. Unlike most banana sofas, this model has a more rectangular outline with sharper angles. As a result, it appears more sleek and elegant, commanding the space around it. At the same time, the restrained colour palette makes it suitable for any style of space. The short, lightly tapered legs are made of solid wood and provide great structural stability thanks to their arrangement. The sofa is supported by two conical legs in the front and three in the back.
