The stylish design of this unique Arne Dahlén pair combines the pared down Swedish elegance and modern aesthetics. Chairs are often considered especially revealing of a designer's skill because of the strict limits placed on their design by the demands of the human body. With these “Eva” models, the designer arrived at a clearly-structured solution in which a high degree of coherence is maintained while the chairs appear visually light and open. The structures are made entirely of solid wood with sculpted and tapered legs that are splayed gently, giving stability to the shell bodies. The legs end in brass caps that accentuate the shape. The elegant simplicity and honesty of the frames are further enhanced by the premium wool blend upholstery which complements the both the cosy shape and solid wood legs gracefully. The streamlined shape and soft fabric create not only a modern and elegant look, but also great comfort, preserving the Swedish ideal of “good design” that holds functionality just as high as aesthetics.
