The lamp is constructed around a slender wooden column rising from a unique tripod wooden base, whose splayed legs provide both stability and a light visual footprint. Three circular glass shelves are positioned at different heights along the wooden body, creating a sculptural arrangement that appears to float around the central column. Bo Notini was among the most accomplished lighting designers working in Sweden with Glössner & Co.. Notini came from a family of designers, his grandfather Harald and father Gunnar being key figures of Swedish lighting creation. Bo Notini often incorporated etched or sandblasted decoration into understated, elegant forms, in the case of this lamp, they take the form of birds, clouds and raindrops - all elements inspired by nature. These stylised elements are etched on an amber glass shade suspended from a slender brass rod and canopy, creating a light composition. The gently curved sides of the shade soften the simple profile, while the polished brass introduces a subtle metallic counterpoint to the textured glass. With their origins in a small workshop in Aarhus, Fog & Mørup was founded by Ansgar Fog and Erik Mørup. Many of their most successful models explored the relationship between light, structure, and ornament, resulting in fixtures that functioned as decorative objects even when unlit, and this hanging lamp model is the perfect example.

Model “E8655” stands apart through its remarkably graphic composition. Suspended from slender stems, the fixtures culminate in radial arrangements that resemble flowers, propellers, or stylised sun representations. Lights in varying lengths extend outward from a dark central structure, creating a striking contrast that emphasizes the geometry of the design.
