Rare easy chair / X-chair designed by Peter Hvidt & Orla Mølgaard-Nielsen Produced by Fritz Hansen in Denmark, 1950s - 1960s.

This chair by designer duo Peter  Hvidt & Orla Mølgaard-Nielsen, is called the X-chair for obvious reasons. Made from mahogany bentwood, the frame is meticulously crafted in flowing lines with a compressed wooden inlay in the center. The seating is made of brown / cognac leather with a beautiful patina that gives the chair quite some character. The seating is finished with top stitching and is visibly laced up in the back. This iconic and elegant chair showcases outstanding production quality and attention to detail.

Condition:

Item is in good vintage condition. Wear consistent with age and use. One of the legs has a small crack that has been repaired in the past. Leather has a beautiful patina.
