In France, as in the UK and much of Europe, there was something of a design renaissance in the decades following the Second World War, due to developments in materials and technology. Maison Regain was a prominent French furniture manufacturer active during this period, associated with the rise of rustic modernism. The studio became known for its use of solid woods combined with clean architectural lines and honest construction. In good vintage condition. Wear consistent with age and use. The chairs have recently been reconditioned. The items have visible scratches and dents. Due to the nature and age of the wood, the items may have some marks and slight discolouration. The cushions have recently been reupholstered in a premium fabric.
