The postwar boom years of the 1950s through to the 1960s were one of the periods of greatest influence of Italian designers. Design in the 60s paved a way to a more aesthetical approach to products as opposed to its utilitarian predecessors, resulting in exceptional pieces like these armchairs.
In the 1960s, together with Gavina, Ignazio Gardella created these innovative "Digamma" armchairs. This model is versatile and functional with a strong personality, characteristic of Italian modern design.
