Örsjö is the place where it all started—a small village located just outside Nybro in Småland, Sweden. The company has a strong belief that objects created by hand leave a certain indescribable sense of human touch and warmth—a link between the user and the creator that is often lost in industrial production. For that reason, the company has been working with local craftsmen exclusively. As a result, this rare floor lamp model combines artisan craftsmanship with high-quality materials and a simple shape. The brass is very effective in showing off the lovely, rounded body, topped with a round shade. The flat shade is delightfully unusual, almost mimicking the brass base. It is supported by a white acrylic reflector ensuring that the lamp is an effective source of light. The simple design is elevated by the leather wrapped shaft, that is sewn around the brass. The two materials complement each other by creating sharp contrast both colour and surface-wise. This rare model is said to have been made exclusively for the SAS Radisson Hotel in Gothenburg and was part of their interiors for many years.
