French lighting manufacturer Lunel became known for producing elegant modernist fixtures that balanced sculptural form with functional clarity. Collaborating with designers such as René Mathieu, the company developed fixtures that combined elegant engineering with sculptural forms, often introducing articulated arms and highly distinctive shades that transformed functional lighting into expressive design objects.
This wall lamp reflects that direction through its minimalist construction and carefully balanced proportions. A long, slender arm projects confidently from the wall to hold a striking diabolo-shaped shade, formed by two opposing cones joined by a patinated brass collar to create an hourglass-like profile that immediately draws attention.
