This fantastic set of 6 teak dining chairs in the Danish Modern style was designed by Inger Klingenberg for France and Son. The chairs feature a striking sculptural design and solid teak construction.

The standout characteristic of these chairs are the curved backrests that are echoed by the unusual curved seats. The seats of the chairs are designed and mounted in such a way that they appear to be floating on the base. The rare shape of the seat was designed with the human body in mind, therefore the chairs are very ergonomic. The solid wood frame is refined and simple, letting the upholstered seat to stand out visually. The Danish furniture maker France & Son was one of the most famous furniture companies in Denmark, and collaborated with the leading Scandinavian designers of the time. This progressive, high-end set of the famous “Model 193” chairs is the result of the company’s collaboration with Inger Klingenberg.

The master craftsmanship of the manufacturer and the design of Klingenberg is complemented by the premium upholstery. The chairs of this set were recently reupholstered in full aniline leather and are marked with the manufacturer’s label. Playful and elegant, this set is unlike any other.
