Harald Notini was a Swedish sculptor and designer who served as the artistic director of Arvid Böhlmarks Lampfabrik from 1916 onward. Under his leadership, Böhlmarks became an important Swedish lighting manufacturer, producing luminaires that helped define the transition from the refined Swedish Grace movement in the 1920s to the Swedish Modern decades that followed.

Model “6913” is a great example of Swedish Grace. The table lamp features a tapering, fluted shaft in nickel-plated brass. The shade is made up of a tall cylindrical form of slender metal layered discs, each layer delicately floating above the next, emitting a soft and diffused glow. Resembling the abdomen part of a honeybee, it stands on three elegant brass legs, running up through the fourteen slates, and finally poking out from the top, bearing a resemblance to delicate bee-like antennae.
