This sculptural Art Deco armchair, crafted in France circa 1930s, captures the elegance and bold geometry of the movement’s golden era. Art Deco design, which flourished internationally after the 1925 Paris Exposition, sought to merge modern luxury with streamlined form, and French designers were at the forefront of this development.

This chair embodies the Deco spirit through its architectural silhouette and refined use of materials, making it a striking example of period craftsmanship. The armchair is defined by its angular wooden frame, with sweeping arms that extend upwards in an arch-like shape, before dropping into the base. The dark-stained wood provides a strong structural outline, highlighting the geometric clarity of the design. Set within this frame are generously upholstered seat and back cushions, covered in soft brown mohair that adds warmth and tactility.
