At its most basic level, this decorative bench juxtaposes sleek lines with organic shapes, using quality materials and methods to reimagine traditional pieces. It is a true accent piece that is sure to draw the eye.

This bench’s design has its roots in the French folk stools of the early 1800s. This reinterpretation kept the basic structure in a modern form with the addition of subtle decorative elements. The beautifully sculpted wooden structure allows elements that are not strictly functional as opposed to its predecessor. This is most visible in the curved lines of the arms and of course, the gorgeous upholstered seat. The rich yellow upholstery has diamond tufting that adds great visual appeal. The layers of the fabric are tightly stitched into a diamond pattern—forming indents that are evenly positioned throughout. These depressions are secured with a button, creating raised sections of fabric, the so-called “tufts”. Diamond tufting is considered to be the most comfortable due to the extra cushioning in each tuft. The dark wooden structure is equally appealing with the arch legs that constitute the arms as well. The legs are connected by straight stretchers on all sides that balance both the sculpted curves and the upholstered seat.

Thanks to its materials and craftsmanship, this bench can be used in a variety of ways: as an accent piece in a more minimal space, under a window, or even as a bedroom bench.
