A well-chosen lighting piece, like this beautiful mid-century lamp, has the power to embellish and shift the atmosphere of any interior. Pendant lamps got their name from the Latin word "pendere," which means "to hang down." As practical pieces of interior design, they can be used to concentrate light, or to just add an accent to the room.

Mid-century European lighting increasingly explored geometry through layered glass and carefully controlled symmetry. The fixture is constructed around a glass shade with a matte pattern finish that takes an organic form while softening the light. The metal frame creates a strong geometric outline while simultaneously following the curves of the glass, giving the lamp a distinctly architectural quality. At the same time, the material ties in with the slender base supporting the shade. Condition:

In good vintage condition. Wear consistent with age and use. The lamp has recently been rewired and reconditioned. The glass has some imperfections and chips. Minor marks, scratches, and discolouration may be present due to manufacturing inconsistencies and the age of the materials. The lamp is compatible with an E26 / E27 (standard) fitting. All lighting can be converted for US usage. Due to the age of the lamp we recommend using LED bulbs.
