This pair of Swedish wall lamps attributed to Fritz Kurz is a playful example of the eccentric side of Scandinavian mid-century modern design. These crystal glass lamps’ organicity is quite literally expressed, representing the rare, more decorative models of Swedish modernism.

The lamps are made of a block of cast leaf-shaped glass on a metal base. These delicate leaf-shaped lamps showcase the unique qualities of the glass. The resulting effect is stunning, with shadows resulting from the play of light when the lamps are lit, creating an ambient mood while also highlighting the organic form. As flush mounts, the lamps are very close to the wall, connected to it by metal back-plates.
