Swedish furniture designer Alf Svensson (1929-1992) was particularly active from the 1950s through the 1970s, creating storage elements, tables, and seating for a variety of influential manufacturers. Like many of his Swedish contemporaries, Svensson utilised traditional materials such as richly grained wood and leather to design pieces that were typically made in the Scandinavian modern style.

With a clear statement of simplicity, quality, and respect for materials, this pair of “Caballero” tables is a great example of Scandinavian modern design. They boast ingeniously functional and well-thought-out structures crafted from quality wood and wood veneer. Each table features a seamless hidden drawer under the tabletops, offering additional functionality. The overall form of these tables is pared down and minimal, and they are as close to perfection as any piece of furniture can be. With minimalism comes timelessness, a guarantee that this pair will never go out of style.
